LEARN MORE: Evaluation Criteria for Proposals
Proposals will be evaluated on the following criteria:
- New voices, new topics: We strongly encourage workshop proposals that come from, and/or include, first-time presenters and new and diverse voices.
- Deep alignment with core themes: Sessions should provide participants with understanding and/or practical tools that will help them advance their work, strategy, or leadership in one of three areas: “Future Tech & Responsible Innovation”, “Transparency, Trust, and Equity”, “Data, Knowledge, and Security”.
- Trending/Innovative: We are looking for a wide range of topics that showcase new and emerging work and innovation and break-through models. We look for sessions relevant to what’s happening in philanthropy today and that anticipate future issues in the field.
- Relevant to different types of funders: TAG conference participants are a diverse group of grantmakers including private, family, corporate, and community foundations as well as partners and vendors who support the sector.
- Interactive learning format: Sessions should be highly engaging and interactive, employing innovative learning techniques and dynamic formats that could include: topic debates, participatory games, hands-on exercises, learning to use new tools, or other practices designed to draw all attendees into the discussion. All elements should be designed with thoughtful, relevant learning objectives, and crafted to meet those objectives.
